A: Yes, we carry all the necessary licensing and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
A: Yes, we carry general liability insurance and workman's compensation on our employees.
A: Our inspections are a thorough investigation of all the areas on and around your home that we can safely access. This includes, but is not limited to, areas such as the perimeter, roof top, chimneys, upper-level areas off ladders, venting systems, decks/porches, etc. Relevant interior spaces are also investigated, especially unfinished spaces such as your attic and/or crawlspace. We will look at all areas needed to determine pest and nuisance wildlife entry points, damage and other potential vulnerabilities or problem areas.
A: Certainly! Attic spaces often reveal evidence as to what type of pest or nuisance wildlife problem you are dealing with. Our expert technicians can diagnose evidence that may be present such as droppings/urine staining, disturbances or tunneling in insulation, accumulations of foreign debris, exposed or damaged wiring, deceased pests, rub or smudge marks, to name a few. It is also possible to notice live activity in the attic space which 100% verifies that current problem.
A: Yep! Our Wildlife Inspectors and technicians have diverse skill sets and are trained in basic repair and patching of the areas we typically see damaged in the nuisance wildlife control industry. If we cannot make the repair for you, we often can recommend a qualified contractor who is able. Structural repair and patching are a vital step in the control process as it is the only way to prevent the problem from reoccuring in the future.
A: Typically, we use sheet metal or 1/4" galvanized hardware cloth to repair and patch common holes and damage. Most wildlife damage usually occurs in areas of the home that are not easily noticed and the repair work is barely visible. In situations where the repair work needs to be color-matched or repaired with original materials, we can usually work with that. If the repair is outside of the scope of work we can provide, we will often be able to recommend a qualified contractor who can help. We use custom made caps, covers and screens for most roof top and gable attic vents. When needed, we provide our own heavy duty custom screening. We carry a wide variety of chimney caps and covers. We also can special order custom sizes if needed.
A: Yes. If we see something that we think could be a problem in the future, we will bring it to your attention and let you decide if you would like us to repair it or not.
A: Yes, all of our repairs have guarantees when we have initiated trapping effort prior to patching. (With a few exceptions with raccoon damage) We will not patch an active hole being utilized by nuisance wildlife without trapping and evicting first.
A: Our repair guarantee simply states that if the nuisance wildlife gets back in through the area we repaired and guaranteed within the coverage timeframe of the guarantee, we will trap and evict the nuisance wildlife and repair the original compromised area of damage at no additional cost to you.
A: The appropriate number of traps will be determined by your wildlife technician on site once a full assessment of the trapping has been made. Typically, there will be multiple traps set, but the exact number will vary depending on wildlife species and unique setting of the trapping.
A: It depends on what type of nuisance wildlife species we are trapping. If squirrels are accessing the home from upper-level areas, it is typical to have traps on the roof as well as in the trees which provide access to the home. With skunks or woodchucks, traps would typically be nearby the burrows or other areas they are entering into or utilizing. Raccoon traps are typically set on the ground near areas of activity or access unless the situation calls for trapping from the roof for upper-level access situations. There are many different possibilities for trap placement and your wildlife technician will make the best location decisions once a full assessment of the trapping has been made.
A: Very rarely with the design of the special enclosed traps that we use. Our traps are almost completely enclosed so that when we do catch a skunk, it is safe for you to carefully walk by the trap to verify the capture. However, it is advisable to not disturb the trap in any manner or you might get a surprise.
A: The first step is to have our wildlife technicians inspect the situation on site. Raccoons in chimneys can be a very tricky situation to deal with. Removal the day of inspection is not always guaranteed; sometimes trapping or some other means of evicting is required. When we are successful at removing a raccoon family from a chimney, the family is allowed to remain together so the mother can continue to care for her young. We will then install a chimney cap to prevent future problems.
A: Yes, that is a possibility. We do not guaranteee that we will be able to relocate however as the trapping conditions and situation will dictate if relocation is a possibility or not. The best thing to do would be to call our office to speak to one of our wildlife control professionals about the topic.
A: We use a humane method that is approved by the American Veterinary Association. Call our office and ask one of our expert wildlife technicians if you would like details.
A: You will be given your technician's cell phone number. They answer their phones daily from 8-5. You may call at any time of day or night. If needed leave a message and he will return your call promptly. You may also call our office and leave a message with the office personnel.
A: It is not standard company protocol to keep live traps open over the weekend, so there is no threat of a live capture on the weekend. Traps would be closed on Friday and re-opened and baited on Monday. We would then resume the "will call" agreement with any captures. If you would like to have live traps available for capture 7 days a week, a special arrangement would need to be made between you and your wildlife tech for weekend removal.
A: We make every effort to pick up the captured animal as quickly as possible. If you call us with a capture by 9:00 a.m., we can guarantee the capture will be removed that day. A live captured animal will always be removed within 24 hours of the reported capture.
A: Most of the time, we ask capable homeowners to check the traps daily and notify us when there is a capture. When live trapping, traps will be placed at locations that are easily visible to the customer. This allows the traps to be monitored regularly.
